Hi, I’m Ashley!

I am a recent graduate from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in journalism and minors in French and ethnic studies. I have a passion for journalism and hope to go into a career in feature writing. 

I was a news reporter at Mustang News, Cal Poly’s student-run newspaper, for two years, writing breaking news, feature stories and investigative pieces. I also interned with the California Student Journalism Corps at EdSource for 8 months where I wrote news stories and commentaries about education topics in California, and contributed to student-on-the-street reporting.

When I’m not reporting, I enjoy playing the trumpet and French horn, playing Dungeons & Dragons and reading.
